Racial Skill Tree
Mutant refers to creatures that have been physically altered by magic or alchemy. Most commenly it is used to refer to Witchers, which were humans originally but got altered by the Trial of the Grasses.
Any human or quadroon that takes up the Witcher profession automatically becomes the Mutant subtype, losing all human/quadroon benefits and gaining witcher benefits instead. More... (Witcher RPG Wiki, english only)
Perks
- Witcher Senses: All witchers can be identified by their cat-like slit eyes, which grants them low light vision. Additionally, Witchers can track things by scent, like a dog can.- Witcher Reflexes: Created to slay monsters, Witchers have the fastest base reflexes of all races, meaning they can chain attacks together much faster.
- Witcher Emotionlessness: Witchers are known for being very detached and lacking empathy. This is a trait bred into them by the alchemical process that turns them into mutants.
- Distrust against Witchers: Most races, although humans more than any other, harbor distrust against Witchers. Witchers suffer penalties to throws/saves that build upon faith in them and their reasoning.
Professions
- Witchers are a profession and a racial type. Witchers cannot be anything but Witchers.Female Witchers
- The process of turning humans into Witchers is far from perfect. Usually, only 2-4 out of 10 boys survive the process. The ratio is even more horrible when it comes to women, only one of 100 girls survives the Trail of the Grasses. Such a low success rate lead to the discontinuation of any attempts to make female Witchers, ... aside from the School of the Cat, which dabbles in such matters. - Tolerated everywhere, yet the presence of too many Witchers lowers their standing to hated.This race does not have any subtypes.
