A witcher also known as a wiccan, hexer, vedymin, or witchman (Elder Speech: vatt'ghern), is someone who has undergone extensive training, ruthless mental and physical conditioning, and mysterious rituals (which take place at "witcher schools" such as Kaer Morhen) in preparation for becoming an itinerant monsterslayer for hire. Defining Trait: Witcher Training

Most of a Witcher’s early life is spent within the walls of their keep, studying huge, dusty tomes and going through hellish combat training. Many have argued that the Witcher’s greatest weapon is their knowledge of monsters and their adaptability in any situation. When in a hostile environment or difficult terrain, a Witcher can lessen the penalties by half their Witcher Training value (minimum 1). Witcher Training can also be used in any situation that you would normally use Monster Lore for.

Requirement
Usually only males (Human Nordling, Human Skellige, Human Zerrikanian or Half-Elf Quadroon) can become Witchers, as the mutation claims the lives of too many women for just one successful witcheress (1 in 100). The School of the Cat is the only one that produces female Witchers in spite of the risk. Those that become Witchers become a racial subtype, Mutant, which overwrites their previous racial traits.

Limitation: Hatred for Witchers
If there are too many Witchers in the same region (as in, in-around Rivia, in-around Aldersberg, so on) for too long the hatred for Witcherkind swells. This can lead to lack of contracts, refusal to trade, to active bounties given to players or NPC headhunters hunting Witchers down.

- Starting Gear (You get any 2): Alchemy set, A horse, Iron Throwing knives (5), Light Crossbow, Double woven gambeson, Bound Journal (Guaranteed).
- Special Gear: Witcher Medallion, Witcher's steel sword, Witcher's silver sword, Potion formulae (2), Oil formulae (2), Decoction formulae.
