Racial Skill Tree
Dwarves are one of the humanoid races. Together with gnomes and elves they are called the Elder Races, and along with gnomes they were one of the oldest sentient races on the Continent. An adult dwarf grows as tall as a human male's chest. They are more sturdy than humans, which makes them tougher and stronger. They usually grow long beards. Dwarves are often excellent soldiers, artisans and businessmen. While they tend to be uncouth, they are also jolly and cheerful.
The motherland of dwarves is Mahakam. Like other nonhumans, dwarves are often persecuted by Nordlings. Because of that, some dwarves were members of the Scoia'tael guerrilla. Perks
- Strong: +2 Strength, +2 Constitution- Tough: Spending much of their time in the mountains and mines, dwarves are naturally tough skinned. They gain a damage reduction of 2.
- Crafter's Eye: With their eye for fine detail and appraisal it is hard to bluff a dwarf. +2 to Appraise.
Professions
- Dwarves cannot be Witchers, Mages, Witches or Druids.Social Standing
- Tolerated in The North- Seen as equal everywhere else
Dwarves do not truly have subraces, nor true ethnic groups. When it comes to them, only one fact matters: are you born in Mahakam or not?
Mahakam Dwarf
The motherland of most dwarves is Mahakam. While not every single dwarf in the entire world was born there, many were. Dwarven youth are sent to live among humans for a certain period of time, to learn how good they have it at home, and to see how chaotic and terrible humans are.

Dwarf (born outside of Mahakam)
Dwarves live in Nilfgaard, were born in the North or even further beyond. These dwarves are more influenced by their local surroundings, not the rigid rules in Mahakam. While some still feel a kind of loyalty towards Mahakam and the Forefathers rules, those born free of the complex rules that govern life in the dwarven kingdom are often quite different both in personaltiy and ambition.
